Restorative Dentistry

If you’re tired of hiding your smile or experiencing pain, restorative dental work could revolutionize the way you eat, speak, and smile. In addition to doing tooth extractions and tooth-colored composite fillings, Dr. Scurti is certified to provide a variety of restorative dental procedures to get your smile in tip-top shape.

We offer full-mouth rehabilitations for patients who need extra care. Ask us and we’ll work with you to get you the restorative care you need.

Implant Dentistry

Dental implants are titanium posts which are inserted into the jawbone to create solid anchors for crowns, bridges, and even dentures. Traditional implants are titanium posts with ceramic crowns that serve as replacement teeth. Because of the biocompatible properties of titanium, the post naturally fuses with the jawbone, creating a long-lasting foundation for your replacement tooth. We’ll even do a complimentary CT scan to get a clear diagnosis before moving forward with dental implants.

Dentures & Partial Dentures

If you’re missing one or more teeth, dentures and partial dentures can restore the appearance of your smile and allow you to eat and speak with confidence again. Without dentures or implants, missing teeth can cause bone loss and gum recession over time, so it’s important to seek dental attention when you experience tooth loss.

Oral Surgery

Dr. Scurti provides oral surgery in the event that you require a bone graft, tooth extraction (including wisdom teeth), or periodontal care. After your exam, Dr. Scurti will develop a treatment plan that meets your specific needs.

We also provide sinus augmentations to add bone to your upper jaw. If you’ve experienced tooth loss in your upper jaw or gum disease, you may require a sinus augmentation. By focusing on conservative care, we ensure that you’ll only get the dental treatments you need at Legacy Family Dental.

Mini dental implants (MDIs) are used for denture stabilization to prevent uncomfortable rubbing or looseness. The MDI system consists of four miniature titanium alloy implants that act like tooth roots. Your dentures will be fitted with a retaining fixture that snaps into the tops of the implants and holds your denture firmly in place.

Bridges & Crowns

Dental bridges are commonly used to replace one or more missing teeth. A bridge spans the space where the teeth are missing, but looks and functions as your natural teeth would. Crowns can be used on the anchor teeth on either side of the bridge to help provide support and stability. Dr. Scurti may also recommend a crown to replace a filling or protect a weak tooth.

Endodontics

Root canal therapy is important for removing the bacteria from teeth that have penetrated into the inner layers of your tooth. If you’re experiencing pain or have a filling that has come loose, a root canal can relieve the pain and restore your ability to chew without sensitivity.
